Learn While You Play

Learning is the modification of behavior through practice, training, or experience.
There are many ways of learning, whether or not it's by reading, practicing, or applying any prior knowledge to acquire or attain new knowledge. When your playing your applying your prior knowledge of memorization of the controls, understanding what you have to do in order to complete the game, its the same as learning. You have to understand the concept of the lesson in order to do the actual problem or activity. In turn, there are already educational web sites that have games that help you learn such as funbrain.com or pbskids.com. They all incorporate lessons and kids naturally just interact with it and by doing that they can have fun while learning.

Do You Deserve Amnesty ?

Amnesty is an act of forgiveness for past offenses and I think the South should be granted amnesty but to an extent. People get caught and put in jail for so many reasons all the time. It may be for a major crime or a minor thing. People also get falsely indicted. It may be because somebody framed them and wanted them put away or the officers simply just wanted to put people away. That's why i think amnesty should be granted to the South so that people who don't deserve to be put in jail will have a chance to be forgiven and be released. But if you did something that was really bad and don't deserve a pardon, then you shouldn't be granted one. 

Reconstruction & Slaves

Reconstruction is the idea or concept of bringing the North & South together after the Civil War. As reconstruction was happening, some Amendments were passed that affected the slaves in a few ways. Amendment 13 abolished slavery so that meant they were to be freed from their white masters. The 14th Amendment provided guaranteed rights and securities to all those freed. Also the 15th Amendment guaranteed voting rights account of their race, color, or previous condition of servitude.  However, even with all the rights they were just granted, the Black Codes restricted Black rights in the South. 

So in conclusion, reconstruction gave slaves the freedom to be on their own and guaranteed all rights and securities they would have deserved but if they had lived in the South, they wouldn't get any of these rights as they would be restricted. I think those who didn't live in the South, we better off but those unfortunate enough to do live in the South, they wouldn't be so much better let alone experience any change in rights or freedoms.

How Very Stereotypical of You

Stereotypes are so widely known by many because there are so many different and diverse people in our society. Our society is made up of hundreds and thousands of different cultures, religions, and walks of life. Stereotypes are just things that other people say about another group, like an opinion if you will. Everybody is entitled to an opinion and at times those opinions just happen to be about other people. They may be true they may not. We all don't have to listen to them because what matters is that we know who we are and stereotypes don't judge us or our actions, only we have the right to judge ourselves.

"That government is best which governs least"

This quote by Thoreau can be simplified as the government who does what the people wants will actually do less. It means the gov't runs and does things based on the opinions and decisions of its citizens. By doing this, there would be less problems such as protests of unfairness or against laws people do not think are necessary. Rather than people being told what they can or cannot do and how to live their lives, this would make everybody happy and live their lives however they want. Society would basically be run by the citizens, not the officials, hence the part, "... which governs least." The government would simply just ensure that the needs are met and things are running smoothly and as planned. A pleased society is a pleased government.

Don't Be a Loser !

People tend to leave things out or keep to themselves when they're talking about themselves. Thats understandable because who really wants to talk bad about themselves. But when it comes to history, countries do the same when writing about it. As bad as it may make you seem I don't think they should leave out the negative parts because not everybody's perfect and eventually people are going to find out one way or another. Whether it be a professor doing research or a person from that time writes about it and gets discovered by somebody from today. Let's face it everybody everywhere is going to have something negative happen to them and there's nothing you can do about it. So I conclude that in my opinion countries should not leave out their negative histories and just accept that it happened and move on as it may, or may not, pay off later on.

History Matters !

Many people may think history is just there and could care less or it's that one class that's just there. I don't know about you but I think history matters. History helps explain everything around us. It can answer questions like how did our lives differ from back then to modern times or what events occurred that might have made the way our nation is today. History is very important and really matters believe it or not. History might also help you find out who your ancestors are and then you'll really know more about yourself.
