Should Call of Duty Continue to Exist ?

One of the most popular war games of this generation is Call of Duty, a game that portrays war. The way it is laid out is similar to real life war situations and scenerios. When first visiting the article, the picture that was there I thought it was of actual soldiers on the battlefield, but it was actually a digital representation of the two.
While there are many people who are arguing that video game violence portrayed in games such as Call of Duty should seize to exist, I am arguing that they should. People should realize that these video games are not real although they may try to portray real life situations. Some might realize that it could be a little exaggerated of the events or situations shown. Although they may diminish the violence that actually occurs in real war and people really don't get "reset" buttons or second chances in war, people still need to keep it mind that it's "JUST A GAME" and it is only for the mere entertainment of its consumers. The things that go on in the game are computer animated, virtual simulations, cartoon graphics. It does not encourage the players on acts of violence or of any sort. Some might even say its pure fiction.

What Were They Thinking ?

As we all know, war is dangerous with all the things they have to do to win whether it's on the ground or in the air. In-air combat may include dog fights. Dog fights are dangerous, considering for one, their tens of thousands of feet in the air, and using weapons to shoot at one another. The end result is simple, either you live on or you die. So imagine what was going through their minds: family, friends, scared out of his mind, and about to enter probably the most nervous, nerve-racking moment of their life. One might think, "I don't know how skilled this other guy actually is, is he good ? Am I going to make it ? Only time can tell and I know God will protect me no matter what." So his last thought or action before going all in is probably one prayer, for to maybe win this battle, or wish the best for his family and friends for they may have the strength to live on.

Frustations of a War Letter

Soldiers during war had little free time. They are up early and sleep late doing whatever it takes to win the war for a U.S. victory. Some are on the front line battling, some are hiding in a dugout from enemies and being killed, or just at the range doing shooting drills and evaluations. So to have the time to write a letter, it would be a sum of multiple free moments between events. If they make it back at the end, they are able to get them in on time and have them sent out. Some people haven't had the chance to write home for a long period of time and sometimes you can forget some stuff like if its the right address. Are they still living there ? Have they moved ? If only back then they had other means of communications for soldiers. It would make their journey and mission more bearable, knowing their loved ones are okay and are thinking of them.
